34th Annual Sports Jamboree: The 34th Annual Sports Jamboree was another successful Jamboree. Weather was warm but beautiful. No rain and low humidity. Dale Zimmerman, Parade Chair and Keith Smith, Parade Co-Chair had a good parade of the Contestants, Hosts, Tremont Fire Company Band, Clowns, Red Robin and the Ft. Indiantown Gap Fire Truck. The Torch Bearers were Chosen Rogers and Luke Indelicato. After the opening ceremony the games began: Sight Impaired Contestants competed in the 40 yard Race, Golf Putting, Archery, Bicycle Slalom, Softball Game, Basketball Free Throw, Horseshoes, Shuffleboard and Frisbee Toss. Wheel Chair Contestants competed in Frisbee Toss, 40 yard Race, Baseball Toss, Archery, Basketball Free Throw, Frisbee Toss, Basketball Game, Slalom Race, Horseshoes and Shuffleboard. Friday evening after dinner the Contestants started the weekend activities by having a dance. Music was provided by DJ – Mr. B. All had a great evening. Saturday evening the Contestants had a party with Ice Cream and Cake along with Dillion Strouse of Strouse Entertainment providing the music. Sunday morning the Contestants had Team Relay and the Kinnard Challenge of the various games played on Saturday to end the competition. After the Team Relays and Kinnard Challenge and lunch, an Award Ceremony was held. All equipment packed up and put in storage, all good byes said with looking forward to the 35th Annual Sports Jamboree.
